Dear [firstname],
The Equinox has come and gone, the White Sox are playing in Arizona, and the Dynamics CRM 2011 Launch Tour rolls on. Welcome to Spring, 2011!
Dynamics CRM 2011 is officially released, and it looks like a blockbuster. Several factors will combine to fuel fast upgrades for existing customers, and to attract new customers to the platform:
-
Great new features with business impact. An improved Outlook client, out-of-the-box SharePoint integration, Goal Management, customizable charts and dashboards, and a dramatically improved customization UI are just a few of the most important things to like about the new version. For thorough coverage of these and other high-impact new features, visit the Dynamics CRM Trick Bag’s CRM 2011 category page.
-
A minimally disruptive upgrade path. Upgrades are no fun, but this one isn’t too bad. The CRM 4.0 on-premise organizations we’ve upgraded to CRM 2011 have all gone smoothly, with most of the work in three main areas: 1. Upgrading the server infrastructure to 64-bit versions of SQL and Windows Server 2008; 2. Upgrading the Outlook client; 3. Upgrading external apps, integrations and add-ons. I’ll cover some upgrade tips & tricks at my Dynamics CRM 2011 Essentials, for Customizers session this Friday.
-
Aggressive marketing by Microsoft. The “Taking the Gloves Off” t-shirt I got at Extreme 2010 nicely summarizes Microsoft’s launch marketing: $34/user for Dynamics CRM Online is about a third of what you’d pay for the comparable Salesforce.com product; plus, if you’re switching from Oracle or Salesforce you get paid $200/user. Will Dynamics CRM 2011 take market share from Salesforce.com?
If you’re considering a move to Dynamics CRM 2011, my team and I can help:
– upgrade from CRM 4.0
- migrate from Salesforce or other CRMs
– customize CRM to your requirements
– train your business users or developers
Get more details at my Dynamics CRM 2011 upgrade services page, and thanks for your support!
