The Dynamics CRM Outlook Client

Don’t use Dynamics CRM without it!

The more I use Dynamics CRM 4.0 for Microsoft Office Outlook (a.k.a. “the Outlook client”), the more I like it, and the more I appreciate its potential value for organzations using Dynamics CRM.  Here’s the first in a series of recorded sessions, with the underlying theme of “building organizational value on the foundation of individual productivity”.

The major points made in the video are:

  • Every organization has lots of potential value isolated in remote islands of information…often in the form of users’ Outlook mailboxes. The Outlook client for Dynamics CRM can transform that information into an important organizational asset.
  • Use of the Outlook client makes “doing CRM” less CRM-centric, and more an extension of things your users are already doing…like e-mail, calendar and task management. This means you can expect better user adoption, less resistance, and fewer training requirements.
